About Us
Norwich Ukulele Society is a friendly, informal group of players who meet to share songs, learn new techniques, and enjoy making music together. All levels are welcome—from complete beginners to seasoned performers.
Our aim: to create a relaxed, supportive space where anyone can pick up a ukulele
and join in, regardless of experience.
Meetings
When: Every other Sunday, 5:00–7:00pm
Where:The Brickmakers, 496 Sprowston Rd, Norwich NR3 4DY
Format:
- Group strum-alongs
- Songbook favourites and new tunes
- Tips on chords, rhythm, and playing together
What to bring:
- Your ukulele (any size)
- A tuner (clip-on or app)
- Optional: music stand and printed song sheets
First time? Just turn up with a uke and a smile—someone will show you the ropes.
Join Us
There’s no audition and no pressure. If you can strum a few chords—or want to learn—you’re in.
- Membership: Small annual fee to help cover room hire and printing.
- Visitors: You’re welcome to come along for a couple of sessions to see if it’s for you.
- Events: We occasionally play at local fairs, community events, and charity fundraisers.
